My favorite TV show of all time isThe Simpsons. The Simpsons holds two world records: one for the longest running animated series, and the other for the longest running sitcom; airing for the first time on TV as its own sitcom in 1989. It has also recently won three Emmy awards; one for Outstanding Animated Program, another for Outstanding Voiceover, and the other for Music & Lyrics.

The creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening, drew his first Simpsons cartoons in highschool. He lived in a family of five: his father Homer, his mother Marge, and his two sisters Lisa and Maggie. Matt Groening first started animating his Simpson cartoons at the University of Riverside, California. On April 19th, 1987, the Simpsons appeared for the first time on television on the Tracy Ullman Show. In 1989, the Simpsons aired as its own sitcom on FOX and is still the funniest show on TV.
